Shrimp Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts
  • 1/2 cup raw shrimp
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1/4 cup black mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 20 sheets small wonton wrappers (approximately)

Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
This shrimp recipe can be prepared in a traditional bamboo steamer or use a pasta or pressure cooker insert for steaming.
To make the filling, combine and chop all ingredients (except wrappers) finely and combine well.
Trim the corners slightly of the wonton wrappers, if desired. Note: The larger wonton wrappers may be used if you have them on hand; simply cut into quarters before using.
Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the center of each square and pinch evenly until they are about 1 inch round by 1 1/2 inches high.
Pour the sesame oil into a heatproof dish or steaming insert and steam the dumplings for 20 minutes.
Serve the dumplings while still hot with soy sauce (light or dark) as an accompaniment. Sweet and sour sauce also goes along well for dipping.

Shrimp Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned or garlic salt
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 lb shrimp, de-veined and peeled
Sauce:
  • 1 20oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 - 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
Remove seeds and cores from peppers.
Prepare the sauce by combining pineapple chunks (including juice from can) in a blender with garlic, soy sauce, cornstarch; belnd until smooth, then add peppers (use half or less of the jalapeno if you don't want the sauce to be hot). Blend until peppers are in small, but visible
chunks.
Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes or until sauce has thickened to desired consistency. Stir in vinegar. The sauce may be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated until ready to serve.
Any leftover sauce can be served over rice the following day (or as a side dish for the shrimp).
Heat 1 inch of peanut or other vegetable oil in a heavy frying pan to 365°F (or when a one inch cube of bread will brown in 1 minute in the oil it is hot enough).
Using a wire whisk, stir together flour, salt, baking powder and paprika in a medium size bowl. Add water and whisk until batter is smooth; set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together bread crumbs and coconut to make the coating.
Drop the shrimp, one by one, into the batter, then roll in the coconut mixture, turning the shrimp to coat well.When the oil is hot enough, fry the shrimp in batches of 5-6 at a time until they are golden brown, turning over once. Remove from hot oil using a slotted spoon to drain
on paper towels.

Sprinkle hot shrimp with a pinch of paprika to add color before serving.Variation: Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper to bread crumbs and prepare as above. Omit vinegar from sauce and
substitute 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Garnish shrimp before serving with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh parsley. The shrimp recipe is ready to serve....enjoy !

  • 1/2 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • peanut oil, for deep frying
  • 2 tablespoons snow peas
  • 1 whole garlic, pressed
  • 2 oz. unsalted cashews
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry wine
  • dash of sugar or honey
Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt to a rapid boil; toss in peas and boil for 3 minutes. Drain immediately.
De-vein and shell shrimp; wash in salted water. Toss shrimp in a medium bowl with ginger and 1 teaspoon dry sherry wine. Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder. Stir in 1/2 of an egg white. Stir in cornstarch.
Heat a wok (or skillet) with 2 tablespoons peanut oil to high heat.
Heat peanut oil in a deep fryer to 280F. Deep fry quickly (about 45 seconds). Remove shrimp from deep fryer with a slotted spoon and transfer to hot skillet. Saute shrimp until color changes, then stir in cashews, garlic which has been pressed through a garlic press (or minced and crushed), snow peas, sugar, salt and sherry.
Toss and combine over high heat in wok 1 more minute, then adjust seasonings and the shrimp recipe is ready to serve. Enjoy the feasts ! Nice !

  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (4 medium)
  • 1 fresh jalapeño or serrano chile, seeded, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen® organic fire roasted diced tomatoes, undrained
Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp, green onions, chile, orange peel and thyme in oil 1 minute, stirring frequently.

  • 12 large shrimp
  • 1 Tbsp harissa paste (optional)
  • 2 chorizo sausages, about 6oz (150g) each
  • 12 fresh bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 12 short skewers, soaked in wood or bamboo
Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
All the juices and oils from the chorizo ooze out while cooking, leaving the shrimp succulent and spicy.Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the small tail ends still attached. Rub over the harissa paste evenly and set aside. Slice the chorizo into 1/2-in (1 1/2-cm) thick slices. Place 1 chorizo slice into the crook of each shrimp and thread onto a skewer. Add a bay leaf to each skewer and refrigerate until ready to cook.

Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-hot. Brush the skewers with a little olive oil and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning once, or until the shrimp are translucent and the chorizo cooked through. Serve immediately.Makes 12. The shrimp recipe is ready to serve....nice one ! Enjoy it !

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1 package ground shrimp powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • oil for frying
SHRIMP RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Separate egg yolks from eggs whites into two different bowls. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg whites until they have soft peaks.
Beat egg yolks well. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder and shrimp powder, mixing well.
Folk in egg whites gently, so as not to deflate.
In a skillet, heat 1/4" vegetable oil. Fry the shrimp mixture in the hot oil, dropping by tablespoons and flattening slightly with the back of the spoon into patties.
After several minutes, flip and cook second side until lightly browned on both sides. The shrimp recipe is ready for a great meal .....

  • 1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 6 thin orange slices, for garnishing (optional)
  • green onions, for garnishing (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
Shell and de-vein shrimp, leaving tails on. Place shrimp in small bowl with salt, oregano, thyme.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter, garlic and parsley.
In a small skillet, sauté mushrooms in butter. Brush seasoning mixture lightly from shrimp, allowing some to remain. Divide the shrimp among six individual oven proof baking dishes; top with sautéed mushrooms and drizzle with remaining butter from skillet.

Spoon garlic butter mixture (as desired) on top of mushrooms.Bake at 375°F. for 12 minutes or until done.Garnish each serving with a thin orange slice, cut through to the center on one side and arranged in a twist over the shrimp. Top with a curl of green onion, if desired.6 servings.

  • 1 lb. cooked shrimp
  • 1 can condensed mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. seedless raisins
  • 1 lg. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 each tsp. salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • dash of tabasco
  • lemon juice, to season
INSTRUCTIONS
Sauté the finely chopped onion and 2 tbsp. butter. When onion has browned, add condensed mushroom soup and curry powder (mixed to paste).
Add shrimp, seedless raisins, and heat thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in sour cream, a few drops of lemon juice, and a dash of tabasco. The shrimp recipe of curry is ready to serve over hot rice...enjoy it !

FRIED SHRIMP AND ONION RINGS

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup Martha White's Buttermilk Cornbread Mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon each garlic and onion powder
  • seltzer water, enough to make medium thin batter
  • Shell-on Shrimp to fry
  • oil for deep frying

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oil to 365 degrees. After oil comes up to appoximately the correct temperature, test it by frying one shrimp. One shrimp should take about 2-3 minutes to be golden brown. Adjust heat accordingly.
Prepare batter by stirring all the dry ingredients together until mixed well. Add the seltzer water in a thin stream in the center, mixing with a whisk to avoid lumps.
Stir until smooth but do not overbeat. The batter should be similar in consistency to pancake batter.
If you have a tendency to make tough tempura, use cake flour instead of all-purpose flour.
Dip the shrimp in the batter, drain for 10 seconds and drop in hot oil. Remove when golden brown, season to taste, drain on paper towels, and serve with cocktail sauce or tartar sauce for dipping.
You can use this same batter to make great onion rings with vidalia onions sliced 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with onion powder before they cool.If you can't find the Corn Meal Mix at your store,
substitute fine corn meal (1/3 cup), 2 tablespoons of dry buttermilk powder, and a half teaspoon baking powder and continue to use the other ingredients listed above. The shrimp recipe and onion rings is ready to serve !
