Shrimp Curry Recipe

Try this Shrimp Curry ....nice and tasty !

Shrimp Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined.
  • 1 large onion, chopped.
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 1 one inch piece of cinnamon stick.
  • 6 green cardamoms.
  • 6 cloves.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin.
  • 1 teaspoon of minced ginger root.
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander.
  • Half a teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 green pepper, chopped into half inch pieces.
  • 1-1/2 cups canned tomatoes, crushed.
  • 2 green chilies, chopped.
  • 2 sprigs of fresh coriander, chopped.
Shrimp Recipe Instructions:

1. Fry the onion in the oil until tender (about 4-5 mins).
2. Add the cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves and bay leaf.
3. Cook for another minute, then add ginger and garlic.
4. Add the chili, cumin, coriander and salt.
5. Cook for another thirty seconds.
6. Add the green pepper and tomatoes, then bring to a boil or vigorous simmer.
7. Add the shrimp, cover and simmer for fifteen minutes.
8. Serve the curry sprinkled with the chopped chilies and coriander leaves.

Shrimp Recipe Ingredients

SALAD
  • 1 ½ lb of asparagus, cleaned.
  • 1 lb of shrimp, shelled and cleaned.
  • 1 oz of grated Monterey Jack cheese.
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced.
  • ¼ cup of green onion, sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley, minced.
  • One slice of lemon
  • Lettuce leaves.

DRESSING
  • ½ cup of salad oil.
  • 4 tablespoons of vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley.
  • 1 tablespoon of basil.
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano.
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  • Dash of cayenne.
  • Pinch of pepper.

Shrimp Recipe Instructions:

DRESSING
Combine all of the dressing ingredients.

SALAD
Cook the shrimp; drain and set aside.
Cook the asparagus until crisp-tender; drain well.
Place the shrimp, asparagus and slice if lemon in mixing bowl.
Pour the herb dressing over all, cover and refrigerate, stirring once or twice.
Combine the red bell pepper, onion and parsley.

To serve, drain the shrimp asparagus mixture and arrange on plate with lettuce and cheese.
Serve with the pepper/onion/parsley mixture.
The asparagus shrimp salad is ready to serve...great appetizers ! Enjoy this !

Barbecue Shrimp Recipe

BARBECUE SHRIMP RECIPE
Another great shrimp recipe to try..the Barbecue Shrimp

Shrimp Recipe Ingredient:
  • 5lb shrimp, shelled.
  • 2lb butter.
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley.
  • 4 teaspoons cayenne pepper.
  • 4 teaspoons black pepper, to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped rosemary leaves.
  • 2 teaspoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
  • Half cup of Worcester sauce.
  • 6oz beer.
  • 5-10 cloves garlic, finely minced.
  • 1 medium onion, finely minced.
  • 3 ribs celery, finely minced.

Instructions :

1. Melt a stick of the butter in a skillet.
2. Saute the garlic, onions, celery, parsley, rosemary and seasoning blend for about three minutes.
3. Melt the rest of the butter.
4. Add the beer.
5. Add the sauteed stuff, Worcester sauce and lemon juice.
6. Drown the shrimp in the seasoned butter, using as many baking dishes as you need.
7. Make sure the shrimp are more or less submerged. If they aren't, melt more butter and add tothe sauce.
8. Bake in a 350F oven until the shrimp turn pink (15 to 20 mins).
9. Serve in big bowls and put in a handful of shrimp and ladle
lots of the spicy butter sauce over it.
Hmmm...great taste of barbecue shrimp...enjoy !

  • 2 cups of flaked coconut.
  • 1 cup of cornstarch.
  • 1 cup of cream of coconut.
  • 3 tablespoons of lime juice.
  • Vegetable oil.
Shrimp Recipe Instructions :

Peel the shrimp and coat each one with cornstarch.Combine the cream of coconut and lime juice and dredge shrimp through this mixture.Coat each piece of shrimp with flaked coconut.Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet and fry until golden brown....and the coconut shrimp recipe is ready for feast...great !

GARLIC SHRIMP RECIPE

Shrimp Recipe Ingredients :
  • 1/3 cup of butter.
  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined.
  • 4 to 6 medium cloves garlic, crushed and minced.
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley.
  • 2 ½ tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Salt.
Shrimp Recipe Instructions:

In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat until butter stops foaming, about 30 to 45 seconds.Add the shrimp and garlic and sauté over medium heat, turning frequently until the shrimp just turn pink, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the parsley, lemon juice, and salt then stir well.Remove the pan from the heat and the shrimp recipe of garlic is ready to serve....nice taste !

Shrimp Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts
  • 1/2 cup raw shrimp
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1/4 cup black mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 20 sheets small wonton wrappers (approximately)

Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
This shrimp recipe can be prepared in a traditional bamboo steamer or use a pasta or pressure cooker insert for steaming.
To make the filling, combine and chop all ingredients (except wrappers) finely and combine well.
Trim the corners slightly of the wonton wrappers, if desired. Note: The larger wonton wrappers may be used if you have them on hand; simply cut into quarters before using.
Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the center of each square and pinch evenly until they are about 1 inch round by 1 1/2 inches high.
Pour the sesame oil into a heatproof dish or steaming insert and steam the dumplings for 20 minutes.
Serve the dumplings while still hot with soy sauce (light or dark) as an accompaniment. Sweet and sour sauce also goes along well for dipping.

COCONUT SHRIMP WITH SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE












COCONUT SHRIMP WITH SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE ...a great shrimp recipe....!

Shrimp Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned or garlic salt
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 lb shrimp, de-veined and peeled
Sauce:
  • 1 20oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 - 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Shrimp Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
Remove seeds and cores from peppers.
Prepare the sauce by combining pineapple chunks (including juice from can) in a blender with garlic, soy sauce, cornstarch; belnd until smooth, then add peppers (use half or less of the jalapeno if you don't want the sauce to be hot). Blend until peppers are in small, but visible
chunks.
Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes or until sauce has thickened to desired consistency. Stir in vinegar. The sauce may be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated until ready to serve.
Any leftover sauce can be served over rice the following day (or as a side dish for the shrimp).
Heat 1 inch of peanut or other vegetable oil in a heavy frying pan to 365°F (or when a one inch cube of bread will brown in 1 minute in the oil it is hot enough).
Using a wire whisk, stir together flour, salt, baking powder and paprika in a medium size bowl. Add water and whisk until batter is smooth; set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together bread crumbs and coconut to make the coating.
Drop the shrimp, one by one, into the batter, then roll in the coconut mixture, turning the shrimp to coat well.When the oil is hot enough, fry the shrimp in batches of 5-6 at a time until they are golden brown, turning over once. Remove from hot oil using a slotted spoon to drain
on paper towels.

Sprinkle hot shrimp with a pinch of paprika to add color before serving.Variation: Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper to bread crumbs and prepare as above. Omit vinegar from sauce and
substitute 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Garnish shrimp before serving with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh parsley. The shrimp recipe is ready to serve....enjoy !
